Port of Leith Manzanilla Sherry – 15%

Bodegas Baron, is a 480 year old producer with a very modern outlook, and their flagship product is this utterly delicious Manzanilla wine. It is made in the same style as Fino sherry; bone dry, with fresh citrus, nutty and doughy flavours that linger on your pallet.

This wine will be used to season some of the oak casks used by The Port of Leith Distillery. They will be seasoned in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the heart of Jerez in South West Spain, before they’re shipped to Scotland to be filled with whisky.

Sherry plays a crucial role in transforming the character of many of Scotland’s best-loved whiskies, and this manzanilla will enhance Port of Leith Whiskies.
