Isle of Raasay 5 Year Old Distillery Of The Year Release – 50.7%

The oldest whisky from Isle of Raasay distillery to date, this special bottling was released to commemorate being voted Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Whisky Awards. Distilled in August 2018, bottled in August 2023, the expression began its life within ex-Four Roses bourbon casks before being moved to virgin Columbian oak barrels. Presented at a massive cask strength of 63.5% abv, with a run of just 9,500 bottles. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

Expect aromas of vanilla bean and sweet butterscotch, before a gorgeously sweet palate full of caramel, vanilla, black cherry and hints of savoury spice. The lengthy finish brings all the flavours together in a creme brulee close.
