A visit to some of our distillery pals
February 2020 and we barely knew what was around the corner. There’s never a whole lot going on in February anyway so why not go to visit some of our distillery pals. First stop was Nc’Nean Distillery on the south side of the wonderfully beautiful and remote Morven peninsula overlooking Mull.
What an intriguing and quirky place this was, right up my street. Next stop, Ardnamuchan Distillery. Not much to say here other than we love this place and the anticipation for their inaugural release later in the year is just about all I could think about. Next stop the Isle of Raasay via Mallaig and Skye. Our first time to this brilliant wee island sandwiched between Skye and Applecross on the Scottish mainland.
What fun we had here!! Ridiculousness in the warehouse where we had barrel samples from countless casks. The kind of experience one can only dream about. And then I woke up in my lovely cosy room next to the distillery wondering if that actually did happen (it did). And then it was back into the car and the long journey back to east lothian. Grinning the whole way back.
