Lochlea Ploughing Edition Second Crop – 46%

Lochlea’s second edition peated expression. Lochlea Ploughing Edition.

There’s a lot of excitement around this this one, it’s been matured in ex-Islay casks (a combination of barrels and quarters) so it has a wee bit of peat influence. The barley itself is still unpeated, so it’s just coming from the influence of the cask. The juicy fruit and cereal notes are still there, but there is a lovely peat smoke up front that lasts right through to the finish.
